VDT(s) can be added to a library and the same VDT(s) can be imported into another existing VDT.
User should have the 'Contribute to VDT Library' role permission enabled to be able to add to and import from the library.
- To Add a VDT to a Library:
- Click the open-book looking icon at the top right corner and select Add to Library.
- Provide the Name and Description of the VDT you want to add to the library. Before you can save, an information box displaying that Actual, Target and Baseline primary fields will be added to the constant nodes in the tree. Once satisfied, confirm by clicking Continue.
- Click the open-book looking icon at the top right corner and select Add to Library.
- To Import the added VDT from the Library:
- Repeat step 1 and bullet point 1 then click Import from Library.
- You can choose to replace the existing tree by ticking the box.
- Select the VDT in the Library that you want to import from.
- Select which parent node you want to import from and click the tick button to confirm.
- A question will be prompted for you to confirm that you want to proceed with the import process.
- Click the Proceed box to activate the Import button.
- Repeat step 1 and bullet point 1 then click Import from Library.
- To import a VDT from a template:
- Repeat step 1 and bullet point 1 then click Import from template.
- To import from a template, you should have the template stored in another location (Local computer for example).
- You can choose to replace the existing tree.
- Click 'Select File...' to select a file that you want to import.
- If you have not created an import file, you can download the template by clicking 'Download template' and the content to it.
- After the file has been selected, click the Import button.
