The KPI performance periods are used to calculate the value of a KPI (actual and target) for a period relative to a reporting date. The calculated actual and target values for the period are compared and used to determine the status of the KPI.
There are currently 5 different performance periods available within PIPware. They are Current Month, Current Week, Day, Last Month, and Last Week.
Current Month
The current month for a KPI is determined by selecting the month that the reporting date falls in. The calendar associated with the KPI is used to determine the month. The date period will then be from the start date of the month, up to and including the reporting date. For example, assuming that the KPI calendar months always start on the first of the month, then the date period for 27 October will be 1 October - 27 October.
Current Week
The date period for the Current Week is 6 days from the reporting date up to and including the reporting date. For example, if the reporting date is 27 October, then the date period will be 21 October - 27 October.
Day
The date period will always be for the reporting date. For example, the date period for 27 October will be 27 October - 27 October.
Last Month
The system will select the month previous to the current month using the reporting date. The date period will then be from the start date of the previous month up to and including the end date of the previous month. For example, assuming that the KPI calendar months always start on the first of the month, then the date period for 27 October will be 1 September - 30 September.
Last Week
The date period for the Last Week is 13 days from the reporting date up to and including 7 days from the reporting date. For example, if the reporting date is 27 October, then the date period will be 14 October - 20 October.
