The system uses the "Reference" field in the VDT Fields configuration to be able to link fields across VDTs, see image below. As a result, should there be no reference specified the value will not be mapped accordingly?
Then when linked to another VDT the node will be displayed as follows:
To ensure that values are pulled through from one VDT to another you will need to ensure that the below is correctly configured.
- The VDT to be linked has fields with references specified, i.e baseline with reference A or Baseline.
- The VDT where the VDT will be linked to has corresponding fields with the same references specified.
Please the two VDT's might not necessarily have the same number of fields or types, however, they will need to have the same references.
When the above reference issue has been corrected the values will pull through as desired, see the image below:
