How to change an Idea/Initiative Definition
Idea definitions can be changed on the system using the following method:
- Select the Idea/Initiative you would like to change the Idea Definition for.
- Navigate to the Approvals of this initiative and click on the Idea Definition on Workflow.
- When the Idea/Initiative has progressed to the next stage, the idea/initiative definition cannot be changed unless the idea/initiative moves back to an unlocked state (i.e moves back to the first stage).
- To revert the idea/initiative stage to the first stage in order to change the idea/initiative definition, click the play icon located on the right side of the screen and select the first stage
Impact of changing an Idea/Initiative's Idea/Initiative Definition
After the Idea definition has been changed the Idea will automatically be subjected to the following changes.
- the idea stage will be reset to the first stage and the status reset to Active
- the workplan dates will be reset
- all pending approvals, and approved workflows will be reset and require resubmission of the workflow
Changes to the Idea Definition that do not impact the idea will then show after changing the definition; this will show as configured on the definition at the time of the change.
