Overview

Traditionally WiredUp contained hardcoded hierarchy levels for Department, Subdepartment and Team. Users could configure their organisation hierarchy using a combination of these categories. The hierarchy created using the combination of these fields was used for several features in WiredUp.

The new Organisational Structure feature released now enables the creation of a full hierarchy in one place and is completely flexible to be set up according to your organisational structure.

The depth of the hierarchy is currently limited to 3 levels

To edit the organisation hierarchy, your role must be configured with the Manage Organisational Structure permission.

Creating your Organisation Structure

To create an organisation hierarchy, navigate to Administration, scroll down to General section and click on Organisational Structure.
Note: the Organisational Structure on the Administration module is only for CI instances. For PMO instances, please see this article: Portfolio Configuration

The Organisational Structure page with the currently configured structure will display. If you are using a new WiredUp account, the structure list will be empty.

Create your organisation hierarchy by first creating a root node and then the required child nodes.

On the left side of the screen, you can view the Root and the Child node objects in the hierarchy. On the right side of the screen, enter the relevant hierarchy Code, Name of the hierarchy level, Owner of the organisational level, Idea and KPI sequence, any preferred Icon, the related Dashboard of object level, the applicable Parent level, the applicable Children levels, users that have access to this organisational level as well as any Inherited Access. Under the Children section, you can click on + Add to add a new child-level node that will then appear in the hierarchy.
