Overview
The initiative's financial health and progress are easily assessable through the status card on the Performance and Overview pages. Red, yellow, and green indicators represent challenging, cautious, and positive states, respectively. In addition, the Benefits page offers a comprehensive financial overview, complete with the progress chart section, the metrics grid, and fields to analyze trends, track against targets, and input one-off events.
Understanding the Meaning of Status Cards
The status card on the initiative Performance and Overview pages provides information about the financial status of the initiative. It helps you quickly assess the financial health and progress of the initiative. Specifically:
- Red Indicator: This typically indicates that the initiative's financial status is in a challenging or problematic state. It might suggest that the initiative is not meeting its financial targets or there are financial issues that need attention.
- Yellow Indicator: A yellow indicator usually suggests a warning or a cautious status. It may indicate that the initiative is not performing optimally, and there might be financial concerns.
- Green Indicator: A green indicator generally indicates a positive financial status. It suggests that the initiative is on track or meeting its financial objectives.
Interpreting the Benefits Page
The Benefits ($) page of a WiredUp initiative is a dashboard that provides a comprehensive view of the initiative's financial benefits, as well as its progress and financial health. Here's the main things to look out for on this page:
- Charts and Graphs: Visual representations, such as charts and graphs, help you visualize trends and patterns in benefit delivery. The chart often includes a visualization of the ongoing benefit, gap to forecast, target, one-off costs and one-off benefits.
- Benefits Grid: this page contains both a summarized and a detailed benefits grid. The summarized benefits grid appears below the chart and can be used to identify the exact figures associated with the chart. The detailed benefits grid can be found on the Grid page, which is found using the top right button with the title Grid.
- One-off benefit / cost: this page also contains the one-off benefit and cost fields, whereby one may input one-off events impacting the benefits trajectory.
Using the chart at the top of this page, it is possible to analyze how the initiative is tracking compared to the targets and forecasts, recognize trends, align forecast with realistic trends. This is supported by the Grid view, whereby the figures underpinning the chart are broken down further.
