The KPI Measurement types determine the way that a KPI is measured. It is used to calculate the value for a KPI of a time period using the values captured for a KPI. The time period could be a day, week or a month.

There are currently 4 different Measurement types available within PIPware. They are Daily values or Performance rate, Cumulative Daily Values, Cumulative MTD Values, and Progressive MTD Values.

Daily values or Performance rate

Reports on DAILY VALUES OR RATE OF PERFORMANCE and the AVERAGE of these daily values for the production month/week. (Total for day e.g. tonnes OR Average values for a day, e.g. Tonnes per hour, recovery %). This KPI type reports on the daily values or rate of performance and the average of these dally values for the production month/week. Values to be captured are the daily totals or averages. The target for this KPI type will be to get an average daily value or total daily value for a KPI.

Cumulative Daily Values

Reports on DAILY VALUES and the SUM of these daily values for the production month/week. These values can be intermittent (like LTI's) or regular (like total daily throughput). This KPI type reports on the daily values and the sum of these daily values for the production month/week. Values to be captured are the daily totals for a given day. The target for this KPI type will be a monthly total and daily targets will be monthly total dived by the number of production days.

Cumulative MTD Total Values

Reports on MONTH TO DATE TOTAL for a KPI. The value reported on is the LATEST VALUE ENTERED for the reporting period. Values to capture are the MTD totals at the given day. This KPI type reports on the month to date total for a KPI. The value reported on this the latest value entered for the reporting period. Values to be captured are the MTD totals at a given day. The target for this KPI type will be to calculate the monthly total (daily targets will be the monthly total divided by the number of production days).

Progressive MTD Values

Reports on a PROGRESSIVE VALUE/weighted average for the production month. The value reported on is the LATEST VALUE ENTERED for the reporting period. An example is progressive head grade. This KPI type reports on a progressive value for the production month. The value reported on is the latest value entered for the reporting period. The latest value entered for the month will be the progressive average for the month. Values to be captured are the MTD progressive average at the given day. The target for this KPI type will be a progressive average value (same for daily and monthly targets).
