When an Idea is created into the system it's automatically added to the evaluation Stage.
If an Idea has moved from Active status to any other status except Archived, you will need to be an Idea administrator or have an Idea edit permission to be able to edit the Idea.
Idea statuses are as follows:
- Active
Any person with access to the Idea can make changes.
- On Hold
- An idea will not produce any benefits, an idea is in this status when a few details are still being finalized.
- To make changes you will need to be an administrator or have Idea edit permission.
- Cancelled
- An idea is cancelled when it is no longer needed on the system, as a result, will not impact any reporting in the system as it will not produce any benefit.
- To make changes you will need to be an administrator or have Idea edit permission.
- Completed
- An idea is cancelled when it is no longer needed on the system, as a result, will not impact any reporting in the system as it will not produce any benefit.
- To make changes you will need to be an administrator or have Idea edit permission
- Archived
- An idea is archived for record purposes, and Ideas can only be Archived after they have been Completed or Cancelled
- No one can make changes, the status will need to be changed before they can edit the Idea.
- Approved
- Only an Idea Administrator can make changes to the VDT.
