Overview

This section will allow you to create your own KPI. Capture all the relevant information in the KPI configure screen as required.

Creating your own Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will allow you to cater to your unique needs, adapt as your business evolves, offer deeper insights, and enhance data collection and analysis. This will empower you to measure what matters most and drive continuous improvement.

Adding a KPI

To add a KPI, navigate to Analysis > KPIs. Click +Add KPI in the right-hand corner of the screen to create a new KPI. The following Configuration screen will appear:

After clicking on Add KPI, the three-bar menu appears on the left of the Configuration title. For more details on this menu please see this article: KPI Toolbar

You can now enter a relevant 1Name for the new KPI and a 2Description that explains the new KPI, outlining its objectives and significance. The 3Default Baseline and 4Default Target provide insights into the initial and expected levels of performance for the KPI. When setting both Default Baseline and Default Target, the 5Expected Trend is automatically established. A downward trend (Baseline > Target) indicates an expected decrease from the baseline, while an upward trend (Baseline < Target) indicates an expected increase. Select the appropriate KPI's calculation method under the 6KPI Value Calculation Method.

To the right side of the screen, you can then enter the 7Code that serves as a unique identifier associated with the KPI, as well as the 8Owner, who by default, is the original creator of the KPI. The KPI code can be automatically generated through KPI Sequences. In addition, you can select the associated 9Portfolio to categorize the KPI, as well as selecting the appropriate 10Unit for measuring the KPI, whether it's monetary units like "$" or physical units like "KG". These units are configured in the Administration module. You also have the option to enter any relevant 11Tags associated with the KPI.

The 12icons located on the top-right side of the screen are used to view the initiative/s where the KPI is referenced, the ability to copy the KPI as well as view the audit log changes made to the KPI.
