Overview
Use the Initiatives module to streamline the process of generating, evaluating, and executing new project-related concepts. It allows teams to collaboratively brainstorm and capture ideas, prioritize them based on strategic importance and feasibility, allocate resources, and track progress. This module promotes transparency, accountability, and alignment with the organization's strategic goals while also serving as a historical reference and a tool for continuous improvement.

Navigation
Click on Initiatives to access the module. |
Use the burger menu icon to the left of the screen to navigate to the Pipeline list. |
Pipeline List
When using the Pipeline List, you can efficiently search for specific Initiatives by entering their code or name in the search box provided. The "Filters are applied" will be displayed next to the search box, indicating that the list is filtered.
The following features are available on the Initiative Pipeline list:
- Using the burger menu icon to navigate between the Pipeline, Cards, Concepts and Pipeline Targets sections of the Initiatives module.
- Sort the Idea/Initiative list by Code, Name, Owner, Portfolio, Stage, Value and Status by clicking on the column names.
- Organize and filter Initiatives using the Owner column, which displays the original creator of each Initiative, and the associated Portfolio feature in the column next to it.
- Non-financial values can also be monitored and seen in the Initiatives List view.
- Use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to click through the pages and to set how many items will be listed per page.
Stage indicates what stage the Initiative is currently progressing at. Green shows the Initiative is on track while Red means the Initiative is off track. Hovering over the stage column will display more information on the stage. Read more here - Idea Stages and Statuses.
The Value calculation is derived from a combination of configured risk factors associated with the Initiative, taking into account the severity, probability, and consequence of each risk. These factors are evaluated based on the information provided on the risk page.
Cards List
To navigate to the Cards list, click the burger icon menu in the left-hand corner of the screen and click Cards. |
When using the Cards view, you can view Initiatives based on what stage they are currently in. Select the Benefit Type you wish to view. e.g. - Financial ($). Toggle between Compact or Details view. Details will display more information on each Initiative card. Use the scroll bar to view all cards associated with the stage. Each card will display important information on each individual Initiative.
Download
Click the Download icon to save the list as a PDF or Excel file. |
Column Picker
Click the Column Picker icon to show/ hide columns in the list. |
The Column picker provides the ability to show/hide columns in the list; the column picker is split into three sections:
Columns you've added are columns visible, these can be removed by clicking on the red "-". | |
Columns you can add are the columns that are still hidden, add these columns by clicking the into the field headings and clicking the green "+". | |
Apply the changes by clicking on the Apply button, Reset will revert to the default columns. |
Filter
Click the Filter icon to apply filters to the Initiatives list. |
Select which filter/s to apply from the Filter menu. | |
Apply the filter by clicking on the Filter button, Clear will reset the filters added. |
Note: For filters to appear on the filter panel, they need to be flagged as Filterable in Administration>Idea Fields.
