Overview
Concepts are used to create initial thoughts and plans before they are promoted into Initiatives. Aiding in providing a clear and structured roadmap. It helps define objectives which foster better decision-making, resource allocation, and alignment of efforts. Having a well-defined concept also facilitates effective communication within the organization and with external stakeholders. It minimizes ambiguity, reduces the risk of misdirection, and enhances the overall efficiency and success of business initiatives.
Note: Access to Idea Concepts can be managed by navigating to Administration > Roles > selecting the role you would like to enable/disable > under Ideas, click or unclick on Idea Concept Access.
Concepts List
To navigate to the Concepts tab in the Initiatives module list, click the burger icon menu in the left-hand corner of the screen and click Concepts.
Similar to the Pipeline List you can filter for Concepts by entering their code or name in the search box provided. The "Filters are applied" will be displayed next to the search box, indicating that the list is filtered.
Use the input form at the bottom of the screen to add a new Concept, select a Name, a Facilitator and which Program/ Department the Concept will belong to and lastly click +Add.
You can then promote a Concept to an Initiative by either clicking the "light bulb" icon in the Concept table or if wish to promote multiple Concepts at once, tick the box next to Code and then press the Promote button in the top right corner of the screen.
