Introduction

The Emissions Overview page gives a brief summary of what is available on the Emissions module. To access the Emissions Overview page, follow these navigation steps:

Navigate to the 1Emissions section under the Impact module. This automatically opens to the 2Overview page in the Emissions module. You can also view the module by clicking on the three-bar menu and selecting the option from there.

Overview Page Explained

The Overview page contains a description and a link that redirects to each available Emissions module section. Currently, the Emissions Overview page contains links to the Scenario Planning, Forecast, Initiative Impact, Marginal Abatement Cost Curve as well as Configuration section (Activities, Fuel Types, Electricity Types, Settings and Targets).

  1. Scenario Planning:  assess a range of future scenarios by comparing different emissions reduction strategies and their impact. For more information, please see the following article - Scenario Planning

  2. Forecast: Emissions data sourced from Scenario Planning providing a visual representation of the actual and forecasted impact over time. For more information, please see the following article - Forecast

  3. Initiative Impact: displays the potential impact of Emission reduction initiatives on scenarios over time. For more information, please see the following article - Initiative Impact

  4. Marginal Abatement Cost Curve: plots the potential abatement of an Emissions initiative versus the marginal abatement cost of that initiative. This section will be deactivated if the Investment evaluation feature is turned off. For more information, please see the following article - Marginal Abatement Cost Curve

  5. The Configuration section contain the following options:
        - Activities: enables core business activities where Emissions are generated to be created and associated with organisation hierarchy, scenario planning and fuel types.  For more information, please see the following article - Activities 
        - Fuel Types: enables fuel types used in organisational activities to be listed. Fuel types are used to calculate Emissions in Scenario Planning.  For more information, please see the following article - Fuel Types
        - Electricity Types: enables electricity types used in organisational activities to be listed. Electricity types are used to calculate Emissions in Scenario Planning.  For more information, please see the following article - Electricity Types
        - Settings: contains the main module settings and should be configured first.  For more information, please see the following article - Settings
        - Targetsenable organisations to set their Global and Site-specific Emissions Reduction targets. Targets are used in charts.  For more information, please see the following article - Targets
